Boot Socks

I've recently noticed a trend of socks with lace sewed into them and worn above boots, I saw them and thought, I could do that! So I did! On etsy, these socks run for $20-$30 and I went to Target and bought $5 knee high socks and some elastic lace for $3 that would stretch into about 3 pairs. I sewed them into the socks with pleats and they turned out fantastically!

Total Cost: $6 per pair
Buy these online: $30
That's the magic of D.I.Y.

I started by turning down the top seam of the sock, and sewing the lace in a starter position.

Half the lace is below the sock, and the other half is sticking out of the top.

Then I folded that starter piece over in a pleat...

...And sewing it into place.

I kept going all around the sock until I had this finished product.

I took one two inch piece of lace and folded it over and sewed it around the fold.

After one more sock I had this set!

And they were ready to wear!

With two button sewed it, this is the result!!!
